Design Process - Future Storylines

Future Big Storylines
·         A diary belonging to Charlotte is discovered by the police detailing the controversial relationship between Izzie and Oliver, Smithy’s drug use and her family and friend issues.
·         Ella’s birth mother appears at the school gates begging Ella to listen to her story, at first Ella tells her to go away and she listen only to appear again a few months later. Her birth mother, Jane, reveals she was pushed by her Mother and Father into having Ella adopted as she was too ‘young and naïve’ to cope with a baby. She also reveals that she is sisters with Julie but was disowned by her after she had an affair with Paul when she was 16. It is later revealed that Paul is her actual biological Father.
·         Rachel Hill is declared bankrupt and tries to hide it from her husband and daughter.
·         Oliver asks Izzie to marry him once they realise there secret is out in the open.
·         Faye discovers her husband Stan is having a homosexual affair. At first she pretends not to know but then confronts him and they come to the agreement the affair can carry on as long as no-one in the town can ever find out.
·         Clare constantly manipulates the employees of Paul until Becca stands up to her. She demands that Becca must be fired but instead Paul sees her for what she is and files for a divorce. He ends up falling in love with Becca.
·         Jenny Wright falls in love with her sons teacher Mr Bretnall. Although her son primarily gets bullied for it and becomes bulimic he is saved by Mr Bretnall and transfers to a different secondary school, finally returning to his happy lively-self.
·         Miss Loval discovers Smithy alone and crying in town one night and speaks to him the next day at school. He reveals he lives with a foster family but often sleeps on the streets, regularly involving himself in stealing and takes drugs. She helps him see he’s doing wrong and can’t carry on like this, helping him become clean via a rehab scheme. This earns her a promotion at Cliffside High.
·         Mr Bretnall blames himself for Charlotte’s suicide and takes leave from school after her funeral. He later returns as Deputy Head.
·         Ms. Kien’s past is revealed when her son starts teaching at Cliffside High. The staff discover she is a transsexual but agree to keep it from the students.
